Daily Fit Tip: Volunteer

Every now and then, my mum signs us up to work at a local soup kitchen. We spend about three hours there, running food back and forth, cleaning tables and enjoying the company of both those volunteering and those eating. And once it's all over and we've hung up our aprons, we're exhausted--hours of constant walking and lifting will do that to a person. But we feel satisfied and thankful too.

Volunteering isn't about getting fit, but if you can burn calories while doing something good for the community, why not?
