Muscles 101: Knowledge is power

I like how this article opens with the line "knowledge is power, literally," because when it comes to health and fitness that really is the case. Although you can make progress by simply following an exercise plan outlined by someone else, you'll make much better progress if you understand why you're doing what you're doing.

If you're not sure then you may need a refresher course on your body and your muscles and this is a great read. It has info on everything from the different types of muscle in your body to why you get sore after a hard workout.

Even if you think you already know it all I'd suggest checking it out, because sometimes we can all use a few good reminders!
